Today Alan and Drew (my co-writers on “More Than This”) are in the studio recording two new songs that I’ve composed for the musical. Due to schedule conflict I can’t be at the session, and I LOVE studio sessions and am bummed I can’t be there, it’s actually a dream come true to have people recording my work independent of me. Phil + Kermit the Frog, and New Details About Phil's New Album

First, the important stuff... Now, about the album. During Thanksgiving week, I'll be in the studio with Producer Steve Wallace (he produced Casualties too) working out ideas for the new album. It will be the first indicator of how the record might sound, and I'm really thrilled to see what comes of it. I've written 30 songs for this record, and we're moving forward with 20 of them. New Album Begins August 20th

On August 20th, I'm beginning the long and stupendous process of making my next album. Needless to say, I am thrilled, and ready to tackle the challenges and triumphs of creating this kind of huge work. I've done it many times before, and I'm gonna do it again. Just watch me! I mean that literally: watch me. Through the process, there will be a stream of opportunities for you to get directly involved in the process and enjoy it along with me.
