On February 6^th, we got a gang of our friends/actors together in Alan and Drew’s apartment for the first Table Read of the script of “More Than This.”  Consensus was we can read good.

The cast included the sensational talents of Cait Doyle, Anne Fraser Thomas, Vivienne Leheny, Ron Bopst, Matthew A.J. Gregory, Erik Sisco, and Alan Winner.  Matt's wife, Shira Gregory, who I have a serious gay man crush on, took all the photos and provided some mind-bending feedback.  Having a group of beloved geniuses in the same room to give the first voice to the show that I’ve conceived with my two MOST beloved geniuses (Alan and Drew) was elating.  It lifted me.  That’s the only way I can articulate it.  It lifted me.  It also gave an answer to the question that has been on my hip for the past year, the one that every playwright and theatrical composer gets gnawed by for most of their career: “Is it something?  Do we have a show?”

The answer is a resounding “Yes.”  We have a show, and it most certainly is something.
